XPRS Medical Warranty Details

At XPRS Medical, we are committed to providing high-quality instruments you can trust. All of our instruments are made to be durable and to conform to our stringent standards. Furthermore, all reusable instruments undergo a thorough quality control process before they reach our fulfillment center, and another quality control process before they are shipped to the customer. As such, we are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on all reusable instruments, covering material and workmanship.

The lifetime of our instruments is considered 5 years, except for:

  • Standard Economy Instruments/TC Scissors: 3-Year Warranty

  • Tungsten Carbide (TC) Needle Holders: 1-Year Warranty

  • Diamond-Dust Instruments: 1-Year Warranty

  • Titanium Instruments: 3-Year Warranty

  • Silver or Chrome-Plated Instruments: 1-Year Warranty

  • SuperCut Scissors: 1-Year Warranty

  • Disposable Items: Intended for single use. Unopened instruments are guaranteed sterile until the expiry date.

If you notice rust or a workmanship defect during the lifetime of the instrument, please contact us to initiate a warranty claim.

Warranty Claim Process

  1. Contact us at info@xprsmedical.com to request a warranty claim form.

  2. Once we receive the completed form, we will email you a shipping label within 3 business days.

  3. Ship the instrument back to us using the provided label.

  4. Upon receipt, our team will inspect the instrument to verify that it has not been used in a way that voids the warranty. Please allow 5 business days for inspection.

  5. After inspection, our technicians will, at their discretion, either repair the instrument or issue a replacement.

  6. Your repaired or replacement instrument will be shipped back to you.

  7. You have 30 days from the date of receiving the repaired or replacement instrument to notify us of any problems with it.

Exclusions: Normal Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. This includes:

  • Scratches

  • Chips

  • Fading of color/markings

  • Dulling of the blade in scissors (excludes SuperCut scissors, which are covered for 1 year, and TC Scissors, which are covered for 1 year)

Improper Use That Voids Warranty

Improper use of the instrument voids the warranty. This includes:

  • Not using the instrument for its intended purpose.

  • Not maintaining the instrument as outlined in our Instrument Care Pages/IFUs.

  • Using unapproved detergents, lubricants, or other liquids (such as bleach) to maintain instruments.

  • Altering the instrument in any way (e.g., adding or removing parts, sanding, opening screws, etc.).

  • Not storing sterile disposable instruments in a cool, dry place (voids the guarantee of sterility).

Warranty by Instrument Type

1. Standard Instruments

Warranty Coverage: Lifetime (5 years EZTEK/XPRS | 3 years Volaris)

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Designed for repeated use and sterilization.

2. SuperCut Scissors

Warranty Coverage: 1-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship.

  • SuperCut edges are precision-engineered for enhanced cutting performance.

3. Tungsten Carbide (TC) Scissors

Warranty Coverage: 5-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship, including bonded tungsten carbide inserts.

  • Tungsten carbide components are designed for superior durability and precision.

4. Tungsten Carbide (TC) Needle Holders

Warranty Coverage: 1-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship, including tungsten carbide inserts.

5. Titanium Instruments

Warranty Coverage: 3-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Titanium instruments offer lightweight design and exceptional corrosion resistance.

6. Diamond-Dust Instruments

Warranty Coverage: 1-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Diamond-dust coatings enhance grip and precision.

7. Silver or Chrome-Plated Instruments

Warranty Coverage: 1-Year Warranty

  • Covers defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Designed for specialized use with a durable plated finish.

8. Single-Use Instruments

Warranty Coverage: No Warranty

  • Single-use instruments are intended for one-time use only.

  • Instruments marked sterile are guaranteed sterile until the expiry date, unless the pouch is open.

Care and Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure the longevity and performance of your instruments:

  • Follow proper cleaning and sterilization procedures as indicated in instrument listings.

  • Avoid using corrosive cleaning agents or improper sterilization techniques.

  • Inspect instruments regularly for signs of wear and tear.
